On Patrol: Live Renewed for Another 90 Episodes

On Patrol: Live Host ShotOn Patrol: Live, a documentary series that follows the live patrol work of police officers from departments across the country, has been renewed for another 90 episode run on its home channel Reelz, the network announced this week.

Initially premiering on Reelz in July 2022, On Patrol: Live  is produced by Half Moon Productions in conjunction with Big Fish Entertainment. Executive produced and hosted by Dan Abrams, also the host of Dan Abrams Live on NewsNation and Chief Legal Analyst for ABC News, the series’ renewal slate means viewers can expect to see new episodes through at least January 2024.

In addition to Abrams, the series features retired Tulsa Lieutenant Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin and Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson as they give viewers a live minute-by-minute analysis of the officers’ patrols. On Patrol: Live follows stringent “live news-gathering protocols” and enlists more than 50 cameras working “in real time to capture the work of police officers on patrol,” allowing for a distinct and unique insight into the situations these officers face daily.

The series, which “typically leads the ratings on Friday and Saturday nights among adults 25-54” according to THR, has led to a dramatic increase in viewership for its home channel. Deadline reported that since the docuseries’ premiere, Reelz has seen an increase in their “primetime audience by 270%.” Reelz CEO, Stan E. Hubbard, noted that “the growth Reelz experienced in 2022 was remarkable by any measure and since the July 22 premiere of On Patrol: Live, our audience has increased every month and we expect that trend to continue into 2023 and beyond.”

On Patrol: Live airs in a three hour block Friday and Saturday nights at 9PM ET / 6 PM PT on Reelz. You can find out how to access Reelz on your network here.
