05 Sep Mediaite Sets New Record With 83.4 Million Pageviews in August
While the summer months tend to be a slow time for news, that was far from the case for Mediaite.
August was another historic month for the site — which continues to shatter traffic records and grow its audience. Mediaite received more than 83.4 million pageviews in August alone — an all-time high, breaking the previous record set during 2023.
Mediaite delivered fresh reporting on the month’s biggest stories.
As Senior editor Joe DePaolo wrote in his Mediaite article announcing this record, “Mediaite paired news-making interviews — from a contentious interrogation of Vivek Ramaswamy to the first interview with Oliver Darcy after his exit from CNN — with scoopy reporting on the media and politics beats. Senior reporter Diana Falzone broke news from inside Robert F. Kennedy’s star-crossed campaign as it imploded, and Editor-In-Chief Aiden McLaughlin reported from the ground in Chicago, where the Democrats held their coronation of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as the 2024 ticket.”
While it is, of course, a presidential election year, bringing heightened interest in the events of the day, Mediaite’s success is too consistent to write off as a fluke. According to SimilarWeb, which keeps statistics on web traffic, Mediaite is now a top 100 site in America in the News and Media category.
