Ev&Em Vineyards Launches New Releases, Very Bullish on 2024 Harvest

Ev&Em Vineyards located on the North Fork of Long Island, is rolling out a series of new exciting wines, including the 2023 Stainless Steel Chardonnay, 2022 Merlot, and their first Reserve red, a 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Purchased by Dan Abrams in 2021 and since completely renovated and re-imagined, the vineyard is named after his children, Everett and Emilia.

“I have had my eye on North Fork wines for a while as they have been quickly and significantly improving over the past 10 years or so,” Abrams told Modern Luxury of his decision to purchase a vineyard on the North Fork. “In fact, I now believe the top wineries in the region are able to compete with the finest in the country. So this was the perfect time for me to invest, and when my friend Charles Massoud who owns Paumanok winery (one of my very favorites in the area) told me about this winery being quietly for sale, I quickly jumped at the opportunity.”

The vineyard has the benefit of possessing some of the oldest vines in the area, and has shifted to fully sustainable farming practices, having received certification from both the New York Wine and Grape Foundation and Long Island Sustainable Winegrowing.

Popular food and drink review site The Infatuation raved about Ev&Em’s beautiful tasting room and spacious outdoor deck. Of the wines, they’ve said, “It’s worth a visit just to try their barrel-fermented chardonnay and the gewürztraminer, but their light pinot noir is also the perfect candidate for a chilled red you’ll be very into on a scorching hot day.”

Among the newest releases, the Classic 2022 Merlot may be finest expression of the grape in the area with well-integrated tannins and aromatic notes of fresh plum, dried tobacco, and cherry. The Classic 2023 Stainless Steel Chardonnay is perfect for those looking for crisp, bright notes of green apple, white pear, and ripe citrus.

What can people look forward to with the launch of “The Everett” Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon? It is the first effort from Ev&Em at a true luxury wine that competes with the finest red wines in the country with notes of blackberry, black cherry, baking spices, and green peppercorn.

The recent 2024 harvest which was just completed is also considered one of the finest in recent memory.
