17 Mar Dan on Robert Durst Alleged Confession
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Dan joined the crew at GMA on Tuesday, March 17th, to discuss the alleged murder confession made by Robert Durst at the end of HBO’s “The Jinx”. Durst was long suspected in the disappearance of his young wife and later suspected in the murder of a friend and then, was acquitted in a third case (even after confessing to killing a neighbor). But now, after the HBO documentary, “The Jinx”, based on Durst, played an audio of him off camera alleging confessing, he is under arrest and about to be extradited, charged with murder. Dan commented on the legitimacy of this alleged confession, “The defense will likely argue it shouldn’t be allowed into evidence. They will say that we can’t trust this tape. We don’t know where it was. It could have been manipulated. But those are probably losing arguments and ultimately the jury will probably hear it. You put that piece of audio aside and you still have that moment with the letters…and I think that’s going to be big trouble for Robert Durst.”
