16 Sep Dan’s Apology to Colin Powell for Publicizing Private Emails

After Colin Powell’s e-mails had been hacked, apparently by a group affiliated with the Russian governments, two of Dan’s sites (LawNewz and Mediaite) jumped at the chance to spread their contents. Dan acknowledges that it’s iffy that he allowed his sites to publish this material, but the uncovering of Powell’s “biting commentary, personal musings and juicy gossip” – is newsworthy, after all.
The factor that ultimately and somewhat regrettably led to the allowance of this scandal to be featured on his sites is that every other news source undoubtedly would publish it anyway. There was no way to stop this blatant violation of privacy in it’s tracks, so he just let the news be news.
