12 Jan Dan on Media Coverage of Gaza

Dan wrote a piece for Mediaite.com about the lack of international media coverage regarding the demolition of hundreds of homes in Gaza, displacing thousands. Why does no one seem to care outside of the immediate area? Says Dan, “…because its Egypt and not Israel taking the action. When Egypt first made the announcement following the incident on the border with Sinai in late October, there was some​ ​coverage but this most recent action is even more draconian and yet has only been covered by a ​handful of ​outlets that focus on ​Egypt-related news​.” Dan also addresses how the media can justify this lack of attention and offers interesting insight.
